JAKOB BOESKOV – got his fame as an author of “underground comics”. He blends together real and fictional characters. This line then on continues in his film experiments. In 2001 he created his own concept “Fictionism”. The idea is to “test today the products of tomorrow”. One of them being a famous “My ultimate Weapon”. Together with a journalist Mad Burger and industrial designer Christian von Bengtsson he created a fictional hi-tech weapon – an I-D. Sniper Rifle This rifle could shoot GPS-chips and implant them in people. So that police could easily find and “apply punishment”. Boeskov demonstrated this fictional weapon at the weapon fair in Beijing and the arms dealers started to show interest in his product. That product was mentioned in the world press and Boeskov started receiving orders. His works stand out of the set frames of art. They carry satirical and poetic force and are exhinited in many museums of the world. They are a continuation of “non’art” practices, characteristic of French situationism. His theme is sex, war and love.
Concept: an art object that becomes a means to measure reality of the modern world and modern war. |
