FRIEDRICH ADOLF KITTLER – was born in 1943 in Rochlitz. Media philosopher. His family fled with him to West Germany in 1958. A Doctor of Philosophy. His main thesis: all our knowledge and all we see as true is determined by the technical device that is used by our culture. In the centre of attention is the network of technical device and institutions which help any culture execute addressing, memorizing and processing of the data. He is influenced by Jacques Lacan’s and Michel Foucault’s writings . In 1984, he earned his Habilitation in the field of Modern German Literary History. This was considered a pioneering work for Culturology, Literary theory and Mediology in Germany.

ZOYA YEROSHOK – was born 1953 in Temruck, of Krasnadar region. Commentator and one of the cofounders of "Novaya Gazeta" (1993) She graduated from the Moscow State university, faculty of journalism. She worked for six years in the youth magazine "Komsomoltez of Kuban" and ten years in "Komsomolskaya pravda". Concept: When oblivion is the main sentence passed on people in the war of the State against them, the heroic act of a human would amount to the leaving of a trace, of memory. |

SOTIRIOS BAHTSETZIS is born 1970 in Serres, Greece Sotirios Bahtsetzis works as an art historian, independent curator and art critic, based in Athens, Greece. VIACHESLAV IZMAILOV – born In 1954. Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan. War correspondent of “Novaya Gazeta”. In 1985-87 he participated in the military operations in Afghanistan. In 1995 after his article in "Novaya Gazeta" “I don’t want to draft into that army” he was sent to serve as an officer of the 205 motorized infantry in Chechnya. His first publications in “Novaya Gazeta” came out in 1995. The first hostages were released in April 1996. He is an author of numerous articles dealing with juridical and military aspects of that war, and of what is going on in the Republic as its aftermath. In 1997-2001 he continues the same activity on their search and negotiations as a correspondent of “Novaya Gazeta”. He released more than 170 hostages without any ransom.
Concept: The Negotiator brings the captive from the world of the dead and takes him back to the world of the living. |
