ZOYA YEROSHOK – was born 1953 in Temruck, of Krasnadar region. Commentator and one of the cofounders of "Novaya Gazeta" (1993) She graduated from the Moscow State university, faculty of journalism. She worked for six years in the youth magazine "Komsomoltez of Kuban" and ten years in "Komsomolskaya pravda". She is a laureate of the Union of Journalists' Prize "Golden pen of Russia" (1997) and twice she recieved an award named after Artem Borovik "Honour. Courage. Professionalism" (2001 and 2008). |

SOTIRIOS BAHTSETZIS is born 1970 in Serres, Greece Sotirios Bahtsetzis works as an art historian, independent curator and art critic, based in Athens, Greece. He received 2005 his PhD from the Technical University, Berlin, Germany with a thesis in History of Modern and Contemporary Art entitled History of Installation Art (earned with the highest distinction summa cum laude). VIACHESLAV IZMAILOV – born In 1954. Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan. War correspondent of “Novaya Gazeta”. In 1985-87 he participated in the military operations in Afghanistan. In 1995 after his article in "Novaya Gazeta" “I don’t want to draft into that army” he was sent to serve as an officer of the 205 motorized infantry in Chechnya. His first publications in “Novaya Gazeta” came out in 1995. The first hostages were released in April 1996. |
